Top 10

After alot of arguments last night of who is the best player in the Orange/Bathurst area. I have decided to list my Top 10 players ever to play in our region.
1. Vanessa Riley: Although she only has played one full season, she completely dominated. Knows when to put her chips in the middle. Easily the best player ive played in the region.
2. Ian Kenney: Proven player in all forms of poker, although took him a season to figure out APL poker. 32nd in states champs last season. One of the best home players ive played against.
3. Mark Cowie: Up to last week he wouldnt be in my top 5 cause he has not proved himself in Orange, but any player to win a seat in the WSOP can play.
4. Beau Riley:Up to this season he always averaged around 50. Has won 2 pro game tourneys and 2nd in the 3 others. Has won alot of APL tourneys. Good casino player and very good home games player.
5. Kristal Burns: She had a love hate relationship with the OPC, but there no doubting her game. She could mix it up with the monkeys and the very best. Always had a good average and won alot of APL tourneys. Even when the OPC would gang up on her, she would 75% of the time she would come out on top. No one else could do this.
6. Wayne Selwood: Not a flashy player but he gets the job done. One of the most respected players in Orange. Every season always up near the top of the regional leaderboard. Has alot of victories.
7. Jenny Cowie: Same as Mark has proven herself where the best players are here in Orange. Last seasons region winner and very high again this seasons. Has a nack of winning.
8. James Mann: Grindered is way to regional winner this seasons. Hasnt had many wins but he is always in the points. Well liked player.
9. Kendal Stait: One of the best players I have played against and would be higher up the list if he could get an APL win. When he plays he plays great poker.
10. Geremy Combis: The most feared player in Orange when he gets on a roll he is hard to stop. Couple seasons back won 3 tourneys in a week im pretty sure no one else has done something like that in our region.

There you go guys! Thats my top 10.

OPC Wins First Battle Against New Error

OPC proved once again that they are the class poker team in the central west. With the official opening of new team New Error, OPC stepped up with Ian Kenney finishing 2nd, Thor 4th, Joe 7th, kate 9th and scouted player Jason Hurford winning the night. New Error's leader Chris Maluer carried his team with a nice 5th, but star signings Shannon Hart and James Mann (the poker team sluts) failed! AceWolf showed once again when there is a little money involved there game turns to water.

New Poker Crews

Looks like the O.P.C is going to get some competition. Firstly a new team has started up in Orange calling themselves New Era Poker Crew. Loyalty isnt a strong point for some of their players who jump ship almost weekly, some of the guys can play and it will be a pleasure to play against them.
But a more serious threat to the O.P.C's continued dominance is an as yet un-named crew from Bathurst, these guys haven't gone public yet, but my sources indicate that they have signed up the cream of the crop - poker wise from Bathurst. I know some of the players involved and these guys will easily be the best crew in Bathurst. The other crews like Go Web Go have nobody of any skill, whilst 5 Hats is falling apart with player defections and Team Central West will fall apart while Cowie is in Vegas. So guys looks like you will own Bathurst and the O.P.C looks forward to playing you guys in the future.

On behalf of the O.P.C i wish Mark Cowie all the best on his WSOP adventure to Vegas, the spiritual home of the O.P.C.
Here's hoping you get Aces first hand and are faced with a decision.lol

O.P.C- New Era

The new era for the O.P.C begins tonight, no longer will there be in-fighting, all O.P.C members will treat their fellow members with the respect they deserve. If a teammate needs some help with their game, feel free to offer advice, don't bag them for no reason, with each others help we all can become better players. There will be no more heads-up challenges between teammates, we are in this together so lets stick solid.
If you feel like that you can't operate as part of a team structure that is fine, myself and Joe wish you all the best in Poker. For those of you with big heads, remember Orange is only a small pond, expand your horizons and go and play elsewhere as the experience will prove to be invaluable.
Anyway for those of you who want to stay loyal to the O.P.C you are more than welcome to stay, and for those who don't all the best.

O.P.C - To Start Fresh???

The Machine Gun is over the internal bickering that is going on at the moment, and as i retain the rights to the O.P.C name, i may be forced to start up my own crew which will respect their teammates no matter what. We all have different strengths and weaknesses, which is why we are a well balanced team at the moment.
Those who want to be with me, come along for the ride, and for those who don't, i wish you all the best.
